6 years agoHouston Astros designated hitter Yordan Alvarez went 1-for-2 with one walk, one double and one RBI in the Astros 3-1 win against the Mariners on Sunday. On a day when a potent Astros offense mustered only five hits, the rookie slugger continues to rake. Over his last four games, Alvarez is slashing .487/.500/.867 with one home run, three doubles and five runs batted in. The 22-year-old phenom for the season is now slashing .340/.422/.693 with 13 home runs, 14 doubles, 24 runs scored and 41 runs batted in through only 150 at-bats this season.
