Yordan Alvarez Ropes Two Doubles In Intrasquad Game
4 years agoHouston Astros outfielder/designated hitter Yordan Alvarez has yet to make his 2020 debut as he works his way back at the team’s alternate training site. While manager Dusty Baker stated that Alvarez’s arrival was not immediate, his bat appears to be rounding into game form as he socked a pair of doubles during an intrasquad contest Saturday. Houston could use Alvarez’s potent bat as the team flounders early on in the year. Alvarez will be a must-own commodity in every season-long format upon his activation after hammering the ball to the tune of a 1.067 OPS in his rookie campaign in 2019. Check back to continue getting updates on when Alvarez may arrive with the Astros.
