3 years agoHouston Astros designated hitter Yordan Alvarez will have a strong matchup Friday night against the Padres projected starter Jake Arrieta in San Diego. Alvarez is coming off a very strong month of August where he slugged .637 during that span with eight doubles and nine home runs. Alvarez will now face a struggling starter and the talented slugger is slashing .263/.346/.530 on the road this season with 13 doubles, 15 home runs, 39 runs scored and 46 runs batted in through 59 games.
