Yu Darvish Allows Five Runs In Loss
2 years agoSan Diego Padres starting pitcher Yu Darvish allowed five runs over six innings on Saturday as his club was defeated 7-2 at the hand of the Dodgers. The veteran right-hander got off to a terrible start by allowing three solo homers in the first inning and then lone runs in both the second and third inning. He settled down after that by striking out a season-high 10 on the evening, which now gives him a nice 85/18 K/BB through 94 1/3 IP. Darvish will take his 3.53 ERA and 1.01 WHIP into his next scheduled start versus the Giants next weekend.
