4 years agoSan Diego Padres starter Yu Darvish lasted just 4 ⅔ innings on Opening Day against the Arizona Diamondbacks. Despite laboring throughout the contest, Darvish held a 6-1 lead before unraveling in the fifth frame after 93 pitches and four earned runs. He fanned six while allowing eight hits and a walk. Even with the rough outing, the 34-year-old peppered the strike zone and seemed mostly comfortable working out of jams.
