2 years agoSan Diego Padres starting pitcher Yu Darvish, who was placed on the paternity list on Tuesday, is throwing his normal between-starts bullpen session on Wednesday and is definitely tracking towards a return to the starting rotation this weekend against the Kansas City Royals, according to skipper Bob Melvin. The 36-year-old veteran Japanese right-hander hasn't been all that great in the month of August, but overall he's been very solid for fantasy managers in 2022, going 10-7 with a 3.39 ERA (3.35 FIP), 0.99 WHIP, 147 strikeouts and 27 walks in 148 2/3 innings over his 23 starts. Fantasy managers will want to start him this weekend against the rebuilding Royals.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
