Yu Darvish Fans A Dozen
4 years agoSan Diego Padres starter Yu Darvish allowed one earned run over 6 ⅓ innings for his third win Friday against the San Francisco Giants. After surrendering a solo home run to Giants catcher Buster Posey in the first frame, Darvish settled in to strike out 12 on the outing, yielding four hits and three walks over a season-high 107 pitches. The 34-year-old has emerged as the Friars unquestioned ace, sporting a 2.13 ERA, 0.89 WHIP and 33 percent strikeout rate.
