6 years agoHouston Astros first baseman Yuli Gurriel will look to stretch an impressive month of June into July when the Astros open up a series with the Rangers on Tuesday night. Gurriel had a fantastic June, slashing .330/.357/.500 with three home runs, seven doubles and 21 runs batted in. Gurriel got off to a slow start this season following surgery on his hand but has bounced back to hit over .300 the past two months. He also has been one of the most dangerous hitters in Houston's lineup with runners in scoring position, going 27-for-67 (.409) in those situations. Gurriel may not bring the power numbers that most first basemen offer, but he should have plenty of opportunities to drive in runs hitting in one of the most potent lineups in the game.--Joey C - RotoBaller
