5 years agoHouston Astros first baseman Yuli Gurriel homered on Tuesday, his 29th of the season, and drove in his 100th run in the Astros 4-1 win. It has been a tale of two halves for Gurriel, whose remarkable turnaround in the second half has turned into quite a triumph for fantasy owners who scooped him up. In 54 games since the All-Star break, Gurriel is slashing .341/.395/.649 with 15 home runs, 19 doubles, 33 runs scored and 50 runs batted in. He is posting an astounding 1.044 OPS during that stretch as Gurriel has set career-highs in home runs, runs scored, RBI and is four doubles away from a career-best 44.
