7 years agoHouston Astros first baseman Yuli Gurriel extended his hit streak to 12 games Wednesday night, hitting a two-run single in the Astros 7-5 win. Gurriel has only one home run this season but continues to hit his way on base. He is now 17-for-51 (.333) during the hitting streak and is 7-for-19 (.368) thus far in the month of June. He only has one extra-base hit (a double) in his last 60 at-bats but continues to show the league how capable of a hitter he is. Despite positive numbers, Gurriel simply lacks fantasy value at a position (first base) loaded with elite talent.--Joey C - RotoBaller
