6 years agoHouston Astros first baseman Yuli Gurriel has hits in six of his last seven games and is hitting .291 during that stretch. He has one double, one triple and two home runs during that span with five runs batted in and seven runs scored. After a scorching two-month stretch, Gurriel cooled off and is slashing only .186/.213/.289 since the All-Star break. But the recent stretch at the plate is a positive sign moving forward and Gurriel is still posting a fantastic .402 batting average hitting with runners in scoring position. Gurriel does not possess elite power (eight home runs through 410 at-bats) but his 61 runs batted in is enough to consider him as a depth piece in deeper fantasy formats.--Joey C - RotoBaller
