3 years agoHouston Astros first baseman Yuli Gurriel will head into Monday night's action slashing .266/.347/.422 over his last 16 games. The 37-year-old has been banged up over the last month but is trending in the right direction, hitting .296 over his last seven games. Gurriel continues to defy fantasy expectations and is hitting a rock-solid .288 with runners in scoring position this season. Gurriel can be streaky but when he gets hot, watch out. For the season, the veteran is slashing .311/.379/.470 with 13 home runs, 28 doubles, 65 run scored and 70 runs batted in through 114 games.--Joey C - RotoBaller
