6 years agoHouston Astros first baseman Yuli Gurriel will head into the playoffs on a roll at the plate after slashing .356/.379/.567 with four doubles, five home runs and 21 runs batted in over his last 23 games. After a slow start to his season, it was another successful year for Gurriel. He drove in a career-high 85 runs thanks to a sparkling .403 batting average with runners in scoring position. The Astros lineup features plenty of star appeal but role players like Gurriel is what makes them so dangerous. Gurriel is only 1-for-12 lifetime against Friday's starter for the Indians, Corey Kluber, but has plenty of sleeper value in fantasy among the remaining playoff first basemen.--Joey C - RotoBaller
