3 years agoHouston Astros first baseman Yuli Gurriel will be looking for some offensive home-cooking when the team takes on the Rangers on Friday. Gurriel is slugging only .288 in the month of July but has come alive over the last three games at Minute Maid Park, going 5-for-12 during a three-game series against the Indians (soon-to-be Guardians). The 37-year-old has been fantastic hitting at home this season, slashing .311/.380/.485 with 17 extra-base hits, 24 runs scored and 27 runs batted in through 46 games. Gurriel has a positive matchup against a left-handed starter (Rangers Kolby Allard) for Friday night, slashing .313/.377/.472 against lefties this season.--Joey C - RotoBaller
