7 years agoHouston Astros first baseman Yuli Gurriel is almost ready to begin his five-game suspension, per MLB's Jake Kaplan. Gurriel has taken 20 at-bats in minor league games in Florida rehabbing surgery for a broken hamate bone. Now it appears he is healthy enough to begin the season but first must serve a suspension for his controversial actions in last season's postseason. Once he returns, Gurriel is just another strong offensive weapon to add to an already potent Houston mix. Gurriel hit .299 with 18 home runs and 75 runs batted in last season.--Joey C - RotoBaller
