Yuli Gurriel Remains Steady Source Of Production In 2020
4 years agoHouston Astros first baseman Yuli Gurriel is quietly on pace for the best offensive season of his career in 2020. His elite ability at not striking out (11.3 K%, 14.3 Whiff%) continues to help him parlay his success, as he has particularly torpedoed fastballs this year to the tune of a .611 SLG. The .904 OPS that he has amassed through his first 25 games is on pace to be a career best, all while hitting amidst an order that has significant thump. After spending a series at Coors Field, Gurriel will now get the complete opposite effect, likely having his bat suppressed by Petco Park. While he remains a season-long entity in all formats, owners may choose to look elsewhere from a DFS perspective over the next handful of games.
