3 years agoHouston Astros first baseman Yuli Gurriel will try and get back on his offensive game when the team hosts the Mariners Friday night. Gurriel missed the first two weeks of August with neck stiffness and since his return has struggled at the dish. The 37-year-old is only 1-for-23 since August 14 but will have a strong matchup Friday against Mariners projected left-handed starter Yusei Kikuchi. Gurriel is slashing .308/.377/.549 against left-handed pitching and is posting an .863 OPS at Minute Maid Park this season.
