Yusei Kikuchi Starts Hot But Fades
4 years agoSeattle Mariners starting pitcher Yusei Kikuchi was pitching a gem through four innings, allowing no hits and only one walk up to that point, but the Astros got to him in the fifth and seventh innings. Despite facing 24 consecutive batters without allowing a hit over the last two starts, he wasn't able to escape trouble in this one, finishing with seven innings pitched, five earned runs allowed, and three strikeouts. He was saved from taking the loss by yet another Mariners comeback. Despite the less-than-ideal results, Kikuchi showed his potential, and is a buy/add for fantasy managers.
