Yusei Kikuchi Strikes Out Eight In Win
2 years agoToronto Blue Jays starting pitcher Yusei Kikuchi was sharp during his club's 4-1 win over the Rays on Thursday by striking out eight batters to improve his record to 3-4 on the year. The lefty allowed one run over six frames while surrendering four hits and a walk with the only damage on the scoreboard coming off an Isaac Paredes home run in the fourth. It was a good bounce-back game for Kikuchi who had made it through five innings just once in his previous seven starts as he now holds a 4.74 ERA and 1.52 WHIP on the year. His 74 K through 62 2/3 IP is about the only thing that would give him fantasy value, but he could be a viable streaming option for his next start on the road versus the Athletics.
