Yusei Kikuchi Throws Seven Strong Innings Thursday
3 years agoSeattle Mariners starting pitcher Yusei Kikuchi picked up his sixth win of the season Thursday against the Toronto Blue Jays, throwing seven innings and allowing just one run on five hits and a walk. He struck out six. The only run came on a leadoff homer from Marcus Semien, but Kikuchi was able to right the ship in a major way after that. Kikuchi is quietly having an excellent season. Over his last seven starts, he's gone 5-0 with a 1.87 ERA and 0.95 WHIP with 40 strikeouts in 43 1/3 innings. Fantasy managers should look to add him if he's still on waivers anywhere.
