3 years agoArizona Diamondbacks starting pitcher Zac Gallen will have a nice matchup with the Chicago Cubs when he takes the mound in the series opener on Friday afternoon. The Cubs have struggled at the plate recently, as they are slashing .216/.307/.334 and averaging 3.7 runs per game over their last 10 games. On top of this, Chicago is hitting significantly worse against right-handed pitching this year (.218/.298/.384) than against left-handers (.245/.322/.407), and their 26.3 percent team strikeout rate is fourth-highest in the majors.
