2 years agoArizona Diamondbacks starting pitcher Zac Gallen earned his third victory of the season on Thursday as his club was able to defeat the Cubs 3-1. The right-hander allowed one run on two hits and three walks over five innings of work while striking out four in the 88-pitch outing. It wasn't his most efficient game of the season, but effective nonetheless as he now owns a sharp 1.14 ERA and 0.71 WHIP with 39 K in 39 1/3 IP. Fantasy managers should be nothing short of ecstatic this season after Gallen struggled with his numbers and with his health in 2021. He'll have an opportunity to build on his bounce-back season in his next start versus the Royals next week.--Riley Mrack - RotoBaller
