4 years agoArizona Diamondbacks starting pitcher Zac Gallen (forearm) is slated to throw 80 pitches in a simulated game at the team's alternate site. Gallen tossed 60 pitches in his last outing, so he seems to be building up his arm well as he recovers from his hairline fracture. While he is progressing quickly, beat writer Nick Piecoro notes that pitching on Wednesday would rule Gallen out for a possible return on Friday.
