3 years agoArizona Diamondbacks starting pitcher Zac Gallen (shoulder) will make his Cactus League debut against the Colorado Rockies on Wednesday. Gallen has been dealing with right shoulder bursitis in the offseason, and he was behind the other pitchers in camp as a result. The 26-year-old right-hander has been throwing off a mound for weeks, though, so he's not very far behind. With that said, he is unlikely to have a full workload early in the season if he's on the Opening Day roster and doesn't suffer any setbacks to close out spring training. In 23 starts covering 121 2/3 innings last year, Gallen had a 4.30 ERA, 1.29 WHIP, 139 strikeouts and 49 strikeouts for the Snakes.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
