4 years agoNew York Yankees relief pitcher Zach Britton (hamstring) threw a 21-pitch bullpen session on Friday and may return to the team after one more bullpen session if all goes well, according to manager Aaron Boone. Britton had posted an impressive 2.00 ERA with eight saves before landing on the injured list with a hamstring strain one week ago, but had recently ceded the closer job to closer Aroldis Chapman, who is likely to hold onto the closer role for the remainder of the season. Still, Britton should be a valuable reliever for fantasy players who value holds, as the 32-year-old picked up 29 holds last season and should pitch in a similar role for the rest of this season.--Sam Chinitz
