5 years agoNew York Yankees reliever Zach Britton (wrist) took a comebacker off of his right wrist on Wednesday but is unlikely to miss much time. A CT scan and X-rays came back negative on Britton’s wrist, and Britton said on Thursday that the ball didn’t hit bone. As a result, Britton reported that the injury shouldn’t have him sidelined for more than a couple of days and is unlikely to have him shut down for a longer period of time. Britton is a consistently elite middle reliever when healthy with a 1.83 ERA over the past six seasons. Fantasy owners should monitor Britton’s wrist over the coming days but expect him to be ready for Opening Day.--Sam Chinitz
