Zach Davies Allows Just One Run On Saturday
3 years agoChicago Cubs right-hander Zach Davies did a nice job holding a dangerous Cincinnati Reds lineup at bay in his start on Saturday. Davies allowed just one run over five innings of work while striking out three and walking two. The Cubs went on to win 10-2, although Davies did not factor into the decision. Davies continues to trend upwards after a rough start to the season. While he has a 4.65 ERA overall, Davies has a 2.83 ERA over his past seven games. He isn't a great source for strikeouts, with just 29 in 50 1/3 innings of work, but Davies does enough in the other categories to merit being rostered in most leagues. Fantasy gamers can continue to roll with Davies for his next start, which will come against the San Francisco Giants on Thursday.
