Zach Davies Can't Get Through Five Innings
3 years agoChicago Cubs starting pitcher Zach Davies only lasted 4 2/3 innings in Sunday's no-decision versus the Arizona Diamondbacks. Davies allowed six hits, two runs, four walks and struck out three on the afternoon. Davies hasn't shown much longevity in his starts with the Cubs this season and now owns an undesirable 4.35 on the year. Davies low strikeout upside also makes him a tough recommend in all formats. The veteran is a trade candidate with the Cubs appearing to be sellers, but Davies still remains best suited as a streamer option in all formats. The veteran will square off against the Diamondbacks in a rematch on Friday.
