3 years agoChicago Cubs starting pitcher Zach Davies got crushed in Tuesday's loss versus the Colorado Rockies. Davies tossed four innings and allowed six innings, seven runs, two walks with one strikeout. Davies struggled overall, but all seven runs came on a grand slam by catcher Elias Diaz and a three-run homer by outfielder Sam Hilliard. Davies was rumored to be a trade candidate, but survived the deadline with the Cubs. Davies is now 6-8 with a 4.79 ERA and will face a tough White Sox lineup on Sunday. Davies doesn't offer managers any strikeout upside and should be avoided in all formats.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller
