7 years agoMilwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Zach Davies went 6 1/3 innings pitched on Wednesday, giving up three hits, two walks and striking out two in the 2-0 victory. The Brewers were prepared for Davies to go seven innings as he came to bat in the sixth. However, he allowed Alex Blandino to reach base and then Jonathan Villar committed an error that allowed Billy Hamilton on base with only one out. This was his second quality start of the season in four starts, however, his other two starts were catastrophically bad  (six and five earned runs, respectively). Davies isn't exactly a strikeout pitcher despite having 18 K's in 16 innings pitched with a career K/9 of 6.64, so in terms of fantasy, he will need to be efficient to prove his value. He's should be owned in the majority of formats if he can continue to string together good starts like this one. His next start will be on April 24 versus the Kansas City Royals.--Caden Inaba
