3 years agoChicago Cubs starting pitcher Zach Davies failed to get through five innings on Thursday versus the San Francisco Giants. Davies was yanked from the game with two runners on and one out in bottom of the fifth inning. Reliever Rex Brothers would then allow both inherited runners to score. Davies finished with a final line of 4 1/3 innings and allowed eight hits, four runs, two walks and struck out four on the evening. Davies has struggled with his new team this year and he is now 2-3 with a 4.94 ERA. Next up for Davies is a matchup versus a dangerous San Diego Padres offense on Tuesday. Davies should be ignored in all formats.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller
