2 years agoThe Arizona Diamondbacks placed right-hander Zach Davies (shoulder) on the 15-day injured list on Tuesday with right shoulder inflammation and recalled reliever Sean Poppen from the minors in a corresponding move. Davies will now miss at least the next two weeks and possibly longer, depending on the severity of his injury. The 29-year-old allowed two earned runs on five hits while walking one and striking out two in his last outing on Saturday, and he's 2-4 on the season with a 3.94 ERA, 1.20 WHIP, 62 strikeouts and 26 walks in 80 innings over his 15 starts. Davies hasn't been bad by any means, but his very weak 18% strikeout rate leave a lot to be desired from fantasy managers. It remains to be seen who will replace Davies in Arizona's rotation.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
