Zach Eflin Goes The Distance In First Leg Of Doubleheader
4 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies starting pitcher Zach Eflin threw a seven-inning complete game shutout versus the Blue Jays in the first game of Friday's doubleheader. Eflin allowed four hits and two walks while striking out nine in his best start of the season. Despite the dominant effort, fantasy managers shouldn't rush out to add the right-hander. Eflin allowed 11 runs in his previous three starts, totaling just 15 innings. He's prone to the occasional good outing, but his fantasy appeal is reserved for deeper leagues when he has a good matchup. His last start of the season is scheduled for Friday against a good Rays lineup.
