5 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies starting pitcher Zach Eflin will take his next turn in the rotation this weekend vs the Braves. Manager Gabe Kapler said Eflin is fine medically after being examined by the training staff after his last start. Eflin was quoted saying his body "felt heavy," but was given a clean bill of health by team doctors. Eflin has been pitching poor of late holding a 9.38 ERA with a 6.39 FIP in his last five starts. Eflin is droppable in most leagues as he could be demoted to Triple-A or the bullpen if the Phillies acquire a starter at the deadline. He is not a recommended start this weekend against a stacked Braves lineup.--Mike Schwarzenbach - RotoBaller
