5 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies starting pitcher Zach Eflin threw two scoreless innings with no strikeouts in his Spring Training debut Wednesday. Eflin walked a batter but didn't allow a hit in the contest. He is currently the favorite to be the Phillies fourth starter and didn't do anything today to change that. For fantasy purposes, however, Eflin is less exciting. He pitched to a 4.13 ERA last season but had a much higher FIP at 4.85 and he doesn't record a ton of strikeouts, just 6.83 per nine innings for his career. He shouldn't be drafted other than as a low-upside play in deeper leagues.--Mike Schwarzenbach - RotoBaller
