3 years agoPhiladelphia Eagles tight end Zach Ertz (hamstring) missed practice on Wednesday to get some rest and heal a hamstring injury that he suffered in Week 1. The veteran briefly exited in Week 1 versus the Atlanta Falcons, but then returned to the contest. Ertz would finish by catching both of his targets for 34 yards. The normally reliable tight end started to decline last season and the emergence of Dallas Goedert at the tight end position has limited the ceiling for Ertz. At this point in his career, Ertz is no longer one of the safe options at the tight end position. Managers in 10-team leagues should feel safe avoiding Ertz and finding a more reliable option on the waiver wire. If he suits up, Ertz should be considered a TE2 in Week 2 versus a tough San Francisco 49ers defense.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller
