Zach Ertz Not Present On Thursday

2 years agoArizona Cardinals tight end Zach Ertz (calf) wasn't seen at Thursday's practice in the portion open to the media. Ertz was limited at practice on Wednesday, but the Cardinals might just be giving the veteran a day of rest as the Week 1 regular season opener against the Kansas City Chiefs approaches on Sunday. The 31-year-old's availability is up in the air right now, but he should be good to go as long as he's limited in Friday's practice session. With receiver DeAndre Hopkins suspended to begin the year, Ertz should have a heavy target share in the passing game. And in a game against a high-octane Chiefs offense on Sunday, Arizona's first game could be high-scoring. If Ertz is active, he'll be a top-10 fantasy tight end play.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
