2 years agoArizona Cardinals tight end Zach Ertz (calf) will "be close" in terms of his availability for Week 1 against the Kansas City Chiefs, according to head coach Kliff Kingsbury. Ertz didn't play at all in the preseason while dealing with a calf issue since early August, and he now appears questionable to play in the regular season opener. We'll have a better idea of the 31-year-old's availability after we see how much he practices next week in the leadup to the contest against KC. Fantasy managers better have a backup plan in place in case Ertz isn't active in Week 1. If Ertz is limited or out against the Chiefs, rookie second-rounder Trey McBride and Maxx Williams would have bigger roles.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
