3 years agoPhiladelphia Eagles tight end Zach Ertz has been traded to the Arizona Cardinals. Ertz will head to the desert in exchange for cornerback Tay Gowan and Arizona's 2022 fifth-round pick, per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. The 30-year-old still has plenty left in the tank, as he has seen at least six targets in four games this year, either exceeding the 50-yard mark or catching a touchdown in three of those contests. Freed of the timeshare with Dallas Goedert, Ertz figures to have a more fantasy-friendly role in Arizona, even in a crowded room of pass-catchers. Since he played on Thursday night with Philadelphia, Ertz won't be eligible to play this Sunday for the Cardinals. Meanwhile, Goedert will likely emerge as a weekly TE1 in the Eagles' tight end-heavy offense, given their lack of playmakers behind DeVonta Smith.--Tim Capurso
