Zach Plesac Heads For Rehab Assignment
3 years agoCleveland Indians starting pitcher Zach Plesac (thumb) is set to begin a rehab assignment Tuesday at Double-A Akron, according to The Athletic. The 26-year-old threw a bullpen Saturday and continues to make progress from the fractured thumb he suffered at the end of May. His fantasy managers can hang tight and hope for a Major League return in the next week or two if all goes well. The right-hander is still widely rostered but should be claimed immediately in any league where's been relegated to the waiver wire. Plesac is 4-3 with a 4.14 ERA this season but has plenty of upside considering his strong 2020 campaign.
