4 years agoMiami Marlins rookie pitcher Zach Thompson earned his first major league win on Saturday in a 4-2 victory over the Atlanta Braves. Thompson threw five scoreless innings, allowing just four hits while striking out six and not issuing a walk. It was an impressive outing from the 27-year-old rookie, and should be more than enough to earn him another start the next time the rotation spot comes around. He's 1-1 with a 2.25 ERA and may make for an interesting streaming option his next time out.--David A Marcillo - RotoBaller
