Zach Thompson Starting Monday Against Brewers
3 years agoPittsburgh Pirates right-hander Zach Thompson (shoulder) will get the nod on Monday against the Milwaukee Brewers on the road. Thompson exited his first start of the season last Wednesday against the Chicago Cubs early after taking a line drive off his right shoulder. But he will be able to start on Monday in a tough matchup against the Brewers, so fantasy managers should be looking for better options. The 28-year-old allowed two earned runs and five hits while walking one and striking out three in four innings last week. Thompson had a 3.24 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and 66 K's in 75 innings over 26 outings (14 starts) for the Miami Marlins in his rookie season in 2021.
