It marks the third-latest go-ahead goal by a defenseman in Blue Jackets history. Werenwski has now tallied 11 career game-winning goals, needing one more to tie Seth Jones for the most by a defenseman in franchise history. The 24-year-old rearguard has scored three goals in total this season and sits on eight points with 13 games played.
