Zach Wilson Won't Be Ready Until Week 4
2 years agoNew York Jets head coach Robert Saleh said it's likely that the earliest quarterback Zach Wilson (knee) will be available is Week 4 against the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Jets already announced veteran Joe Flacco as their starter for the Week 1 regular season opener, and he'll presumably start at least the first three games with Wilson sidelined. Wilson suffered a knee injury in training camp that required surgery, and the Jets don't want to rush the second-year signal-caller back too soon. Still, it's bad news for the 23-year-old after he struggled mightily in his first NFL season in 2021. He'll eventually get the starting job back, but fantasy managers that have Wilson rostered in dynasty/keeper leagues can't like the way his season has started.
