Zack Cozart Battling A Tight Left Calf
6 years agoLos Angeles Angels of Anaheim third baseman Zack Cozart (calf) is dealing with a tight left calf and he was scratched from the Cactus League spring lineup. He will be re-evaluated on Monday. The veteran had surgery to repair the labrum in his left shoulder last June, so that's something to watch, too. He has missed just one game due to shoulder discomfort. "(The calf) has been tight the last couple of days," Cozart said. "During warmups it felt OK, but during baserunning, it kind of locked up on me. Nothing major." Cozart had a forgettable 2018, hitting just .219. That's the bad news. The good news is that he has multi-positional eligibility and isn't a bad late-round addition in AL-only leagues for his flexibility.
