Zack Godley Has Trouble Limiting Home Runs In No-Decision
7 years agoArizona Diamondbacks starting pitcher Zack Godley went 6 1/3 innings pitched giving up seven hits, four earned runs, and one walk while striking out six in the 6-4 loss to the Washington Nationals. Godley also gave up three home runs in this start which explains the relatively longer start with lots of runs and hits, but a low walk count. In Godley's last two starts though, he's given up eight runs in 12 innings pitched and has four games in eight starts with equal to or more than four runs given up. So far this year, Godley appears to get either lit up or pitch with excellence as he has also posted three quality starts on the year. On the season, he holds a 4-2 record, 4.08 ERA, and a 1.42 WHIP with 43 strikeouts in 46 1/3 innings pitched. He should be owned in all formats as his 3.37 ERA season last year is far too promising to be giving up.
