3 years agoHouston Astros starting pitcher Zack Greinke allowed two runs on five hits and one walk while striking out four over 5 1/3 innings in a 4-3 win over the Indians on Monday. Greinke improved to 9-3 on the year, as he now sports a 3.58 ERA, 1.12 WHIP and 18.5 percent strikeout rate over 120 2/3 innings of work. He's been up and down throughout the season, but he's looked better over his last three starts where he's posted a 3.18 ERA and 0.94 WHIP across 17 innings of work. Managers may want to only start Greinke when he gets a favorable matchup in order to maximize value, but despite some of the struggles he's still a pitcher that must be rostered.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
