4 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies starting pitcher Zack Wheeler started the 2021 season with a bang tossing seven shutout innings against the division-rival Braves. Wheeler only allowed one hit and struck out 10 on the afternoon as he was in complete control all game long. The 30-year-old righty also earned the win in the contest in part because of his big day at the plate going 2-for-3 with two RBI and a run scored. While fantasy managers won't get the offensive stats, it has to be encouraging to see Wheeler look this sharp in his first start.
