7 years agoNew York Mets starting pitcher Zack Wheeler may be frustrating and inconsistent, but he’ll likely be a pretty solid fantasy option against the Miami Marlins on Tuesday. If you recall, Wheeler made his season debut against the Marlins in Miami on April 11 and struck out seven over seven innings pitched while allowing only one earned run. Wheeler has been roughed up in two of his previous three outings, but it’s worth noting his last start against Toronto was going very well until a delay caused by the grounds crew taking a long time to clean up the messy infield during a game that should have been postponed. Against a weak opponent like the Marlins, you can probably expect Wheeler to punch out a minimum of six batters while not allowing more than three earned runs. Of course, given Wheeler’s inconsistency, you never know.--John Smith
