5 years agoNew York Mets pitcher Zack Wheeler(shoulder impingement) seemed to pass the last test of his rehabilitation assignment, throwing a 30-pitch live batting practice before the Mets home game against the Padres on Tuesday. Wheeler reported no pain after the session and believed he may return against the Pirates on Friday, although nothing official has been announced. With the trade deadline on July 31, the Mets will be cautious whenever their biggest trade-chip returns, with Wheeler likely being limited to 75-80 pitches.--Nicklaus Gaut - RotoBaller
